David J. Lemaire, Sr.

Dave Lemaire is a native New Orleanian and a licensed Louisiana real estate instructor who has extensive teaching and real estate experience. He has a B. S. from Loyola University of the South, M. Ed in five areas of education to include, Administration and Supervision of Elementary Schools, Administration and Supervision Secondary Schools, Guidance and Counseling of Elementary Schools, Guidance and Counseling of Secondary Schools, and is qualified to be a Parish or State Supervisor.

In the military he has completed the United States Army Officers Engineer Basic Course, United States Army Officer Engineer Advance Course, The United States Army Medical Corps Advance Course, Command and General Staff College and the Senior Service School, sometimes referred to as The War College and has acted as a certified instructor for all the above.

Dave retired after 27 years of both teaching in the army and the civilian capacity. He presently is a senior civilian volunteer instructor for the United States Army.

Mr. Lemaire has over 30 years in the real estate market as a sales person, broker, instructor, and a Bond for Deed Escrow Agent. He enjoys the opportunity to share his experience, knowledge, and hands on training with the students entrusted to his care at First Professional Real Estate School.

Dr. Roy L. Ponthier Ph.D. Ed.D. DREI CDEI

Roy L. Ponthier, Ph.D., Ed.D., DREI, CDEI

Dr. Ponthier is a licensed Louisiana real estate broker, certified real estate and appraisal instructor, and Director of Executive Training Centers, LLC, an educational services company which offers online training throughout the United States in real estate, mortgage finance, legal CLE, and appraisal through ProEducate, the company’s web-based education division.

EDUCATION: Dr. Ponthier holds a B.S. degree from Southeastern Louisiana College. His graduate training was taken at Tulane University (M.S. and Ph.D.) and the University of New Orleans (M.Ed. and Ed.D.). His academic background is in Physiological Psychology with an emphasis in Psychometrics, Computer Science, Instructional Design, and Adult Education.

CERTIFICATIONS: Dr. Ponthier holds the Certified Distance Education Instructor (CDEI) certification awarded by the International Distance Education Certification Center (IDECC), as well as the Distinguished Real Estate Instructor (DREI) designation awarded by the Real Estate Educators Association in recognition of exceptional effectiveness in the classroom.

ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE: Dr. Ponthier served on the faculty of three Universities for a total of 20 years and currently teaches real estate licensing classes for The Real Estate Law Society of Loyola University School of Law and has chaired college divisions of Computer Science, as well as Education. In addition, he has been selected by Loyola University College of Law to oversee the online offering of all Continuing Legal Education (CLE) for the University.

MEMBERSHIPS: In addition to having served on the Leadership Council for the DREI designation for the Real Estate Educators Association, he has been a member of five academic honor societies as well as a member of MENSA

OTHER BUSINESS ACTIVITIES: Dr. Ponthier was Director of The Center for Computer Education, Inc., which trained teachers in computer science, and was president of Worldwide Information Network, Inc., a provider of Internet and television marketing in real estate. He has owned two mortgage companies, as well as a business brokerage company and a residential and commercial real estate company.

BIOGRAPHICAL RECOGNITION: Dr. Ponthier’s achievements have been documented in Who’s Who (Oxford Edition), American Men and Women of Science, and the International Who’s Who in Education.
