Rudy Aguilar III

RUDY AGUILAR III – ATTORNEY AT LAW – MCGLINCHEY, STAFFORD

Rudy Aguilar III balances practical business advice with his knowledge of transactional law to provide his clients with legal guidance in commercial real estate transactions. He works with clients in the real estate, commercial development, and finance industries, primarily assisting with transactional real estate matters including sales and purchases, mortgaging and financing, planned community development, and commercial leasing. As a licensed Louisiana title insurance agent for all major title insurance companies, Rudy issues title insurance policies to owners, lenders, purchasers, and lessees of property in Louisiana. In addition, Rudy has assisted with business and tax matters, including securing nonprofit status for clients.

Rudy is the Vice Chair of the Condemnation subcommittee of the Land Use and Environmental Committee of the Real Property Trust and Estate Section of the American Bar Association for the 2018-2019 bar year. In that role, he supervises the work of the Condemnation subcommittee and helps guide the subcommittee’s contributions to the Section and the ABA at large.

Rudy also serves as the President of the Baton Rouge Property Lawyer’s Association, organizing a monthly meeting of legal professionals who work in all aspects of real estate for conversation and informative presentations on the Baton Rouge real estate market.

Rudy enjoys dedicating his time to the Baton Rouge community, serving on the Board of Directors and as chair of the Real Estate Committee of Mid City Redevelopment Alliance, a local non-profit dedicated to revitalizing the mid-city region of Baton Rouge. Rudy has also worked with the Baton Rouge Bar Association’s Wills for Warriors program, which assists emergency responders in setting up their estate planning documents, and with the BRBA’s Holiday Star program, which collects and distributes holiday gifts for underprivileged children in the Baton Rouge area.

Rudy served as Editor-in-Chief for McGlinchey Stafford's Flood Law Blog, which was established as a repository of articles and information seeking to assist those affected by the catastrophic floods that struck the Baton Rouge metropolitan area in August of 2016.

While attending law school, Rudy served as a law clerk within the firm's Corporate Law and Real Estate Law practices. He served as a legal extern for Judge Toni Higginbotham, Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeals, in 2013.

These affiliates operating under the MACSTAM brand serve as agent for the major national title insurance companies and issue title insurance policies to owners, lenders, purchasers, and lessees of property in Florida, Louisiana, and Mississippi, as applicable.

Our MACSTAM affiliates work closely with several title abstracting companies to provide a full range of title abstract and search services on Louisiana, Mississippi, and Florida properties, from policy updates and tax information to complex abstracting for multiple-site and major commercial developments. By examining titles for over 30 years, the MACSTAM affiliates have amassed files containing titles and abstracts that have traced ownerships back to the 18th century, in French, and across the most tangled inheritances and rights.

MACSTAM’s ability to place title insurance and provide related services creates significant efficiency and increased quality in the delivery of title services and the successful completion of real estate transactions.
