Crystal Casher Ward

Since joining the LHC, Crystal has assisted with increasing awareness by helping thousands of families become homeowners for the 2018 fiscal year. Crystal has been able to develop strategic partnerships with target audiences, which include, lending institutions, mortgage companies, real estate agencies, builder associations, economic development organizations, college and universities, community organizations and clergy networks across the state. Prior to joining the LHC, Crystal served as the Community Reinvestment Act & Community Outreach Loan Officer for Red River Bank in Baton Rouge and a Training Coordinator for the Small Business Development Center at Southern University. Throughout her career, Crystal has been actively engaging in statewide economic development activities. She has served as a board member and advisor for several non-profit and civic organizations including,Bank on Baton Rouge, Jumpstart Coalition, Junior League, Bank at School, and Catholic Charities. Crystal has a goal to spread financial empowerment for all walks of life through education. Crystal is a native of Houston, TX, holds a Masters of Arts in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Texas Southern University.
Sonja Andrews-Smith

In this role, she works closely with Louisiana residents from across the state who are interested in purchasing a home by facilitating group training and individual counseling. Through her efforts hundreds of prospective homebuyers are better equipped to purchase a home. Additionally, she provides support to a network of 18 homebuyer counseling agencies across the state that are certified by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. During her tenure as the Corporation, Sonja has served in multiple primarily within the Homeownership Division, such as a compliance officer and administrative coordinator. Sonja is a native of St. Gabriel, LA and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management from Southern University A&M College.
Terry Hale

In this role, she is responsible for partnership development, community outreach, and building awareness about LHC homeownership products and services across the statewide. Terry is charged with developing strategic partnerships with, lending institutions, mortgage companies, real estate agencies, builder associations, economic development organizations, college and universities, community organizations and clergy networks across the state. Prior to joining LHC, Terry served as the Assistant Manager for the Business Development Center at one of Baton Rouge’s leading dealerships. She has also worked in the private sector as a recruiter and trainer for non-profit organizations as well as an educator for K-12 public and private schools. While growing up in a military family, Terry had the opportunity to experience domestic and international travel. She’s visited all 50 states, 14 countries and one U.S. territory. Terry holds a Masters of Education from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, a Bachelor of Arts from Mississippi College, and an Associate of Arts from the University of Hawaii.
