This teacher and his course were possibly the most relevant and interesting CE I've received in quite some time. As a commercial practitioner who does ZERO residential brokerage there is nothing worse to me than having to sit through residential CE. More commercial courses need to be approved by the LREC. It would be great if International Council of Shopping Centers conferences could be approved. ICSC's Food For Thought event is on it's third year, and for the second time it's being held in New Orleans. The information presented by the guest speakers has been incredibly relevant to LA attendees because we have more than 1500 restaurants in Greater New Orleans. Essentially that conference covers Food & Bev's growing and evolving role in the retail arena of real estate. ICSC's RECon event in Vegas has nearly 40k attendees every year and some of the presentations I've attended taught me many useful things when it comes to lease negotiations. Commercial lease negotiations can be incredibly complex because no deal is the same, some leases I've negotiated were over 100 pages when finalized. There is no such thing as an application like in residential, where landlords don't have a choice of accepting or denying a tenant based on criteria within fair housing guidlines.
