Course Summary

This 8-hour presentation challenges students to interpret code articles and compare meanings with the instructor and other students. It is designed to generate a good deal of discussion instead of serving as a passive, non-interactive class which merely “gets the credits”. Please note that time assignments may vary based on level of student participation. Students are encouraged to answer certain electrical questions and support their answers with code articles to earn prizes provided by the instructor. In fairness to all, questions are chosen from all nine chapters of the code book to enable electrical workers from all aspects of the trade to have a chance at being a prize winner. The questions provided in this presentation utilize high grade photography and it is displayed on a large screen utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint® to enable a smooth transition between subjects. The class references existing code articles, but also focuses on changes in the code. Handouts to students include: a work sheet with all questions on it and an answer sheet is provided at the end of the class indicating code references used.
