2017 NEC Study Part 1

This training will be conducted using the 2017 National Electrical Code, covering listing and labeling, proper connections, and clearances around electrical equipment. It will also cover conductor identification, and box fill calculations. There will also be a brief question and answer period in the last half hour. Material used will be the 2017 NEC and power points that I have created for the above subjects.

I have been in the electrical industry since February of 1976.

I worked for Plumbing and Electrical Service as an electrician from 1976 – 1985.

I received my Nebraska electrical contractor license by exam in 1985.

I owned and operated Anderson Electric from 1985 -1991.

I became the Nebraska District 7 State Electrical Inspector in March of 1991.

I was promoted to Nebraska Chief State Electrical Inspector in August of 2002.

I was promoted to the Executive Director of the Nebraska State Electrical Division in March of 2006.

I conducted CEU training for the Nebraska State Electrical Division from 2002 – 2015.

I created the electrical examinations for the Nebraska State Electrical Division.

I have been an International Association of Electrical (IAEI) Inspectors since 1991.

I served 14 years as an officer with the Nebraska Chapter of the IAEI.

I have been the Western Section IAEI representative for Nebraska since 2006.

I held all five IAEI Inspector Certifications by exam. After my retirement I have maintained items 3, 4, & 5

3. Electrical Inspector, General

4. Electrical Inspector, Plan Review

5. Electrical Inspector, One and Two Family Dwelling

I have been active in the National Electrical Reciprocal Alliance since 2002, retiring in 2015. I now own and operate Randy Anderson Code Seminars.
