Dan Maxcy is a Master Certified Electronic Technician and a Certified Power Quality Professional. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE®). He is also a member of the National Fire Protection Association, National Electrical Code (NFPA®). He is an approved Instructor for the State of Iowa Department of Public Safety Electrical Examining Board electrician licensing program (IEEB®).


He has been in the electrical and electronic industry for over 34 years. For the last 32 years he has performed facility Power Quality Studies with respect to power and loading analysis, Transient Voltage Detection and removal, power system Harmonic analysis and mitigation, Power Factor studies and control, Ground Studies, Mission critical power System design and implementation, Predictive mission cooling Systems design and implementation, and Power Monitoring Systems.


He has also performed training for the Department of Energy (DOE) and the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA®). He frequently gives seminars that are approved by the Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI®). He is also on staff at the Power Quality University in Kansas City, Des Moines, Omaha and St. Louis. He co-authored books on Digital Circuits and Devices and Lab Manuals in Digital Circuit experimentation.

He currently works for Power Protection Products in the Midwest.
